Obituary for Thomas J. "Jack" O'Dell

Thomas J. "Jack"  O'Dell
Thomas 'Jack' O'Dell, 85, of Clearfield died on Friday, April 19, 2013 at the Altoona Regional Medical Center.

He was born on February 11, 1928 in Clearfield, a son of the late Harry Jasper and Beatrice (Dunlap) O'Dell.

Mr. O'Dell was employed as a Die Setter for McDowell Manufacturing for 26 years.
He was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield and the John Lewis Shade Post #6 American Legion, Clearfield for 12 years.
Mr. O'Dell was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during WW II.

He is survived by his wife, Stella R. (Walushka) O'Dell of Clearfield; a daughter, Jackie Plubell and her husband Bob of Shawville; two grandchildren, Robert A. Plubell and wife Ashley and Nicole Plubell; a great grandson, Jason Plubell; two sisters and a brother, Barbara Hoover of DuBois, Mary Ann Cutler of Clearfield and William O'Dell of Clearfield.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Annie Snell, Gracie Cole, Dorothy Janie Lytle and Donna Lytle; and two brothers, Andrew O'Dell and Harry O'Dell, Jr.

Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Tuesday at 11:00 AM with Msgr. H. Desmond McGee, Jr and Rev Larry Hill officiating. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.

Military honors will be accorded at the cemetery by the members of the Clearfield American Legion and VFW Post Honor Guard.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 5 - 8 PM and on Tuesday from 10 - 11 am.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Clearfield Foundation for Health - Hospice, PO Box 992, Clearfield.
