Obituary for Carmen Evans Yacabucci (Evans)

Carmen Evans  Yacabucci (Evans)
Carmen Evans Yacabucci, 75, of Clearfield died on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at the Clearfield Hospital.

She was born on July 3, 1938 in Morrisdale, a daughter of the late William Kenneth and Esther (Hubler) Evans.

Mrs. Yacabucci was employed as an operator and also in the business office at Bell Telephone, Clearfield. She also worked as a Library Aid in the Clearfield Elementary School System and later served as the Assistant Director of the Clearfield Chapter of the American Red Cross Association.

She was a 1956 graduate of Clearfield Area High School and a member of the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield where she was an active part of the choir. As music played an important role in her life, she was also a member of the Clearfield Choral Society, the Trinity Methodist Church Choir, C.A.S.T. of Clearfield and served as president of the Clearfield Area High School Music Boosters. During her involvement at C.A.S.T., she participated in several plays and two Broadway musical reviews. Mrs. Yacabucci had also served as the campaign chairman of the Clearfield Community Concert Association.

She is survived by her husband, Frank R. Yacabucci whom she married on June 23, 1962 in St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield; a daughter, Janet Yacabucci of Corpus Christi, TX; a sister, Jane Evans of WA; a brother, W. Kenneth and wife Nancy Evans Jr. of Cleveland, OH; several nephews and a niece.

Mass of Christian burial will be said at the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield on Monday at 10 AM with Msgr. Henry L. Krebs as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.

Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Sunday from 6-8 PM and on Monday from 9-9:30 AM.

A Christian Vigil Service will be held at the funeral home on Sunday at 5:45 PM.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, 275 21st Street, Clearfield; the American Red Cross, 109 N. Brady Street, Suite 2, DuBois, PA 15801; or to the charity of the donor's choice.
