Obituary for Margaret E. Elbell (Heichel)
Margaret E. Elbell, 92, of Clearfield died on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at her home.
Born on July 7, 1923 in Karthaus, she was the daughter of the late Albert C. and Annie (Triponey) Heichel.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary Ann Matthews of Warren and Nancy Wallace of Clearfield; a son Harold Frederick Elbell Jr. and wife Denise of Bellefonte; four grandsons Terry Matthews Jr. and wife Lori of Altoona, Ty Wallace and wife Heather of Albrightsville, Grant Matthews of Altoona and David Matthews and wife Marissa of Bellwood; six great grandchildren, Paige and Trè„ Matthews of Altoona, Ryder and Lydia Wallace of Albrightsville and Collin and Joel Matthews of Bellwood; a brother, Blair Heichel and wife Kitty of Clearfield; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold F. Elbell Sr. on July 8, 2002; and two brothers, Gordon and Wilford Heichel; and three sisters, Elizabeth Jacobs, Eva Paup and Helen Tenon.
A memorial mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 1 PM at the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield with Msgr. Henry Krebs officiating. As per Mrs. Elbell's wishes, interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions be made to Circle of Friends of Hospice, Annie Lumadue, 286 West Pauline Drive, Clearfield; or the St. Francis School, 212 S. Front Street, Clearfield or to the American Legion Auxiliary, 210 S. 2nd Street, Clearfield.
