Obituary for Gregg Clark Rich

Dr. Gregg C. Rich 'Keg', 56

of Clearfield died on Friday, May 27, 2016 at his home.

He was born on April 25, 1960 in Clearfield, a son of Rowena D. (Schutte) Rich and the late Dr. Clark E. Rich.

Dr. Gregg was currently in practice with his brother at Rich Chiropractic Clinic in Clearfield.
He was a 1978 graduate of Clearfield Area High School where he served as Class President. While in high school he played football and wrestled. He attended Penn State DuBois and the Indiana University of Pennsylvania where he earned his prerequisites for chiropractic college.
In 1984, he graduated from the Palmer College of Chiropractic. While there, he was a member of the Pi Kappa Chi fraternity and also played rugby.
He joined his father at the Rich Chiropractic Clinic in 1985.
Dr. Gregg was a past member of both the International Chiropractic Association and the Chiropractic Fellowship of PA. He was a founding member of the Wolf Pack Rugby Team. Currently, he was a board member of the Clearfield Arts Studio Theatre (CAST) where he performed in many plays as well as in plays in the surrounding area. He volunteered with the Big Brother/Big Sisters program and most recently dedicated his time in helping others involved in the AA organization.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by three children, Ashley Rich and her significant other, Scott Rodi of Clearfield, Ian Rich of Pittsburgh, Meghan Lesperance and husband Ted of Fort Lauderdale, FL; a granddaughter, Karter Bell; two sisters and a brother, Kristi Johnson and husband Danny, Celeste Porter and husband Daniel and Dr. Matthew Rich and wife Jennifer, all of Clearfield; two nephews and three nieces, Joshua Johnson, Gwenn and Wyatt Porter, Lilly and Laurel Rich; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Thursday at 11:00 am.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 2 - 8 pm and on Thursday from 10 - 11 am.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Clearfield Arts Studio Theatre, PO Box 613 Clearfield..
