Obituary for Ruth Ann Little (Shope)
Ruth Ann Little, 70, of Morrisdale died on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at her home.
She was born on February 18, 1947 in Philipsburg, a daughter of the late Ira J. and Marguerite (Williams) Shope.
Ruth Ann was a homemaker who took great love in raising her children, enjoyed her grandchildren and cherished her great granddaughter. Before her family had grown with future generations, she had enjoyed playing bingo and had worked for home health care organizations.
She is survived by her husband of over 51 years, Earl Little; five children, Genia Tkacik of Clearfield, Rona Sue Magruder and husband Ron of Somerset County, Douglas Little and wife Rachel of Reynoldsville, Jason Little and wife Deb of State College and Junell Little and fiance Hoss Hubler of Morrisdale; fifteen grandchildren whom she cared for faithfully; one great granddaughter whom she dearly loved; a brother, Halford Shope and wife Katie of Forest; and nieces and nephews including a close niece, little Clara.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Earl Dennis Little in 1977; a sister, Sandra Humenay; and a brother, Ira 'Jake' Shope.
Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Saturday, May 20, 2017 from 10-11 AM.
