Obituary for Mary A. Murray (Rathke)
Mary A. Murray, 83, of Clearfield died on Sunday, July 16, 2017 at the Ridgeview Elder Care and Rehabilitation Center, Curwensville.
She was born on October 22, 1933 in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Charles W. and Margaret V. (Blosl) Rathke.
Mrs. Murray was formerly employed by the Penn Sheraton Hotel of Pittsburgh and had worked previously for the Port Authority of Allegheny County.
She was a member of St. Francis Church, Clearfield
She is survived by her sister, Alice Condi and husband Paul of Evansville, IN; a brother, Norbert R. Rathke of Tarentum; numerous nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James J. Murray on August 6, 1998. She was also preceded in death by a brother Charles W. Rathke Jr.
Funeral Services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Thursday at 10 AM with Msgr. Henry Krebs as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 9-10 AM.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Society, 26 S. Second Street, Clearfield or to the American Lung Association, 3001 Old Gettysburg Road, Camp Hill, PA.
