Mr. Petrone served with the U. S. Navy and was a veteran of World War II.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanne E. (Straw) Petrone; a son, Ronny 'Pete' Petrone and wife Debora of Curwensville; three grandchildren, Jill Test and husband Lynn of Curwensville, Jan Duke of Grampian, and Joe Sopic and wife Crystal of Curwensville; seven great grandchildren; a brother, James Petrone and wife Rhetta of Tampa, FL; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Blanche Pozniak, Bredamine Petrone, Violetta Petrone and Margaret Tucker; and four brothers, Philip, Dominic, Albert and Gabriel Petrone.
