Obituary for Elizabeth F. "Betty" Carper (Rougeux)

Elizabeth F. ' Betty' Carper, 91, of Frenchville died on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Penn Highlands Clearfield.

She was born on August 15, 1926 in Frenchville, a daughter of the late Charles J. and Anna M. (Guenot) Rougeux.

Mrs. Carper was a housewife as well as a former small business owner. She was a member of the Frenchville VFW auxiliary and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Her greatest joy was spending time with her granddaughter, Madyson.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Frenchville where she enjoyed helping with various church functions.

She is survived by her son, Chalmer 'Dean' Carper, Jr. and Melissa Ball of Frenchville; a granddaughter, Madyson R. Carper; and a sister-in-law, Lois Rougeux of Frenchville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Chalmer 'Chip' D. Carper Sr. on April 6, 1994. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Pudvar and Louise Habovick; and three brothers, Thomas C. Rougeux, George A. Rougeux and Robert C. Rougeux.

Mass of Christian burial will be said at the St. Mary Catholic Church, Frenchville on Wednesday at 11 AM with Rev. David Perry as celebrant. Interment will be in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Frenchville.

Friends will be received at the church on Wednesday 10-11 AM.
