Robert C. 'Bob' Martin, 64, of Clearfield, formerly of Grassflat, died on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at his home.

He was born on December 6, 1953 in Philipsburg, a son of the late Ellery and June (Fye) Martin.

Bob graduated from West Branch Area High School. He was employed by Al Hamilton Contracting, Moshannon Paving, Kylertown Truck Stop and WW Engine.Bob was baptised in the United Methodist faith and he knew the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior. Bob had a caring heart and spent much of his time helping the less fortunate. He was gifted with a sense of humor and could always manage to fine laughter and the lighter side of most situations. He would sing songs and be thankful for anything he received. Bob wished to never burden anyone. Bob's joy was his beloved dog Abby, whom he took everywhere with him.

He married Doreen Dunn and from that marriage are three children whom he loved dearly, Robert Gene, David Ellery and Cassandra Joy. He also was a grandfather to Camille and Jacob. Bob is also survived by four sisters, Linda Ross and husband Bert, Ellen Smith and husband Milton, Kathleen 'Katie' DeTemple and Debra Finkbeiner and husband Harry; and a brother, John Martin and wife Tracy.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Gallaher; a brother, Ronald Martin; and four infant brothers.

At Bob's request, there will be no public visitation. His sister and care giver, Linda, will follow his wishes for his final rest.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Linda Ross, 167 Turner Drive, Clearfield, PA 16830.
