Shirley R. Smith, 73

of Clearfield died on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

She was born on November 16, 1944 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late Martin Hoffer and Muriel (Kyler) Hoffer Clark.

Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing and crafts.
She was a member of the Shawville United Methodist Church and a former member of the 4-H Club.

She is survived by her husband, Larry F. Smith whom she wed September 19, 1964 at the Shawville Methodist Church; a daughter, Polly McQuillen of Morrisdale; two sons, Hal Smith and wife Kathy of Goshen and Dean Smith of Shawville; fourteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, LeRoy Hoffer and her sister, Donna Hess.

Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Saturday at 10 am with Pastor Robert F. Henry officiating. Interment will follow in the Goshen Cemetery, Clearfield.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 4-6 pm and on Saturday from 9 am until the time of services.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Nathaniel D. Yingling Cancer Center, 815 Doctors Dr., Clearfield, PA 16830..
