Obituary for Kathryn Adair Bryan (Lingenfelter)

Kathryn Adair  Bryan (Lingenfelter)
Kathryn Adair Bryan, 93, of Clearfield died on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at her home.

She was born in Bradford Township, a daughter of the late Walter B. and Edna (Spackman) Lingenfelter.

Mrs. Bryan worked at the Clearfield Dairy and Dipper Dan Ice Cream. She was also employed at the Department of Welfare for the Department of Aging.
She was a member of The Presbyterian Church, Clearfield where she was active with the Ruth's Circle Club. Kathryn attended the Clearfield High School. She was also an auxiliary member of the Clearfield American Legion and a volunteer for seven years at the Clearfield Hospital. She was involved with the ladies group at AandM Electronics, Hyde during World War II.

She is survived by four children, William Bryan of Clearfield, Kathleen Bryan Horton of CA, Barry Bryan of CA, and Danny Bryan of Clearfield; two grandchildren, Autumn McBride and husband Stephen of Clearfield, and Thomas Bryan and wife Debra of Clearfield; four great grandchildren, Stephen and Matthew McBride and Kayliann and Isaac Bryan; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas A. Bryan in 1983 and whom she wed June 23, 1947. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Bryan, and four brothers William, Robert, John and Edward Lingenfelter. Mrs. Bryan was a decedent of one Daniel Spackman who was one of the earliest settlers of the area. She was also the last surviving member of her immediate family.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at 11 AM at the St. Bonaventure Cemetery, Grampian with Pastor Jimmy Hopper officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Joseph and Elizabeth Shaw Public Library, 1 S. Front Street, Clearfield, PA 16830.
