Obituary for Timothy R. Rodkey

Timothy R.  Rodkey
Timothy R. Rodkey, 62, of Clearfield died on Friday, August 24, 2018 at his home.

He was born on January 14, 1956 in Altoona, a son of the late J. Robert and Eugenia (Benovic) Rodkey.

Tim graduated in 1974 from Clearfield High School. He had been employed at Clearfield Hospital for five years and then at Penn State University for 26 years with his last position being a lead operator at the power plant. He was also a substitute at CCCTC and a life member of the Clearfield Volunteer Fire Department. Tim was very active with the Clearfield County Fair for many years, volunteering in many capacities. He was a member of The Presbyterian Church, Clearfield

He is survived by his wife, Karen S. (Sankey) Rodkey whom he wed in 1980; a daughter, Kristen Rodkey Smeal and husband Scott of Clearfield; two grandchildren, Alexa and Chase; one brother, John David Rodkey and wife Joyce of Clearfield; two sisters, Charity 'Chatty' O'Dell and husband William of Clearfield and Sandra Snyder of Clearfield; and nieces and a nephew.

Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Wednesday at 11 AM. Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Clearfield.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 3-7 PM and on Wednesday from 10-11 AM.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Clearfield Volunteer Fire Company, 108 E. Cherry Street, Clearfield, PA 16830.
