Obituary for Melanie Lynn Vaughn

Print
Melanie Lynn Vaughn, 45, of Mahaffey was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 26, 2018. By God's grace, she passed away peacefully at her residence in the presence of her loved ones.

She was born in Tyrone on November 20, 1973.

Melanie was a 1995 graduate of Curwensville High School. She attended Mahaffey Alliance Church.

She loved sports, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers and watching her nieces she adored, in all of their activities. She had a true love for music and attended many concerts throughout her precious life.
Melanie also enjoyed shopping, eating out, and going to the beach. Mostly, she enjoyed spending time with her loving friends, family, pets and socializing. She was always happy, loved giving everyone hugs and kisses. Our Angel on Earth, is now an Angel with God and we will remember her as always living and loving life to the fullest.

She is survived by her mother, Barbara Vaughn, and step father, Bob Gommer of Mahaffey, with whom she resided. Her father, George Vaughn, and step mother, Ronda Vaughn of Curwensville. Her best friend and loving sister, Christy Vaughn Danko and husband Craig of Curwensville, two beloved nieces, Makayla and Elyana Danko of Curwensville, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by one of her best buddies, her maternal grandmother, Elsie "Grannygoose" Withers, maternal grandfather, and paternal grandparents.
A celebration of life service will be held at the Mahaffey Alliance Church at a later date with Pastor Myron Wattenphul officiating.

The family is in the process of setting up a memorial scholarship in Melanie's memory. Those details will also be shared at a later date.

The Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Curwensville, is in charge of arrangements.
