Obituary for Linda Jean Johnson (Leigey)

Linda Jean Johnson , 54

of Clearfield died on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at the UPMC Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh.

She was born on November 8, 1957 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late Elwood and Delores Jean (Dixon) Leigey.

Mrs. Johnson was employed by Kurtz Brothers, the American Legion, and Dingers Grand Slam Grille, all of Clearfield. She enjoyed spending time with her family and loved ones, as well as watching western's and always reading.
Mrs. Johnson attended the Kerr Addition United Methodist Church, Clearfield.

She is survived by her husband, John 'Bob' Johnson whom she wed August 1999; former husband Philip Whitesell Sr.; four children Jennifer Jarvis, Angie Holliday, Philip Whitesell, Jr. and Jessica Duell; two step-children; numerous grandchildren; three brothers, Elwood, Richard and Jeffery Leigey; two sisters Mary Luzier and Irene Forrest; three brothers-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband Kenneth Haney.

Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Wednesday at 11:00 am with Rev. Kenneth J. Leonard officiating. Interment will follow in the Centre Cemetery, Hyde.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM and on Wednesday from 10-11 AM.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home 113 North Third Street, Clearfield.
