Kathleen M. Thomas, 85, of Clearfield died on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at the Ridgeview Elder Care and Rehabilitation Center, Curwensville.

She was born on April 2, 1928 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late Charles Burton Sr. and Ruth Avanel (Rowles) Thomas.

Miss Thomas was a child care provider for several families in the area and a member of the St. John Lutheran Church, Clearfield

She is survived by her sister, Mildred S. Hanson of Clearfield; and other close family members including three nieces, two nephews and several great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, C. Burton Thomas Jr. and Robert A. Thomas.

A memorial service will be held at the Kevin A Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Monday at 11:00 am with Rev. Robert J. Way and Rev. Susan J. Williamson officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Clearfield.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 10-11 AM .

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Clearfield Foundation for Home Health - Hospice, PO Box 92, Clearfield.
