Obituary for Rosaline C. Ianaro (Balistrere)
Rosaline C. Ianaro, 98, formerly of Clearfield, died Tuesday morning, August 18, 2015, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren, OH.
She was born May 10, 1917 in Philipsburg, the daughter of the late Frank and Josephine Balistrere.
Rosaline was a 1935 graduate of Philipsburg High School. She retired in 1984 after 20 years in food service with the Clearfield District School System in Clearfield.
Rosaline was a member of St. William Catholic Church in Champion, OH and a former member of the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield. She was devoted to the Catholic faith and recited the rosary daily. She enjoyed crocheting, reading and was an excellent cook.
Her husband of 55 years, Tony C. "Fats" Ianaro, whom she married November 28, 1935 preceded her in death December 20, 1990. Two great grandchildren, six sisters, Lena Spingola, Providence "Prudy" Cello, Mary Buchignani, Josephine Holmes and infant sisters, Pauline and Frances and three brothers, Charles, Tony and Frank Balistrere also have preceded in death.
Rosaline is survived by one daughter, Rita (Vince) DeSalvo of Champion, OH; three sons, Joseph (Janet) Ianaro of Windham,OH, Leo Ianaro of Summerfield, Florida and Glenn Ianaro of Pittsburgh; eight grandchildren, Barbara (Marc) Streem, Diane (Jim) Orban, Scott Ianaro, Craig (Eva) Ianaro, Vince (Theresa) DeSalvo, Robin (Leon) Walk and Glenn and Jennifer Ianaro; thirteen great grandchildren and twelve great great grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 21, 2015 at 11 a.m. at St. William Catholic Church in Champion, OH with Rev. Michael Balash celebrating the Mass.
Graveside services will be Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Noon at the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield with Father John Miller officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. William Church building fund, 5431 Mahoning Ave. N.W., Warren,OH 44483.
