Obituary for Jack J. Bremigen

Rev. Jack J. Bremigen, 96 of Clearfield, passed away on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at the Ridgeview Eldercare and Rehabilitation Center, Curwensville.

He was born on October 6, 1921 in Jersey Shore, a son of the late Francis and Maude (Busler) Bremigen.

Rev. Bremigen was an ordained minister for the Assembly of God Church for over 60 years. He served in Slate Run, Montoursville, Hammersley Fork, Shamokin, Milesburg and Clearfield. He was a veteran of the US Army Aircorp, having served during WWII.

He is survived by his wife, Lois V. (Levin) Bremigen of Clearfield; three daughters, Ruth Hill and husband Rev. Larry of Springfield, MO, Sharon Shimko of Clearfield and Joyce Wisor and husband Kevin of Clearfield; seven grandsons, Jeffrey and Christopher Hill, William and David Shimko, Kevin Jr., Kenten and Kurtis Wisor; fourteen great grandchildren; three sisters, Betty Maloney of Birmingham, AL, Patricia McDonald of Albany, NY and Mary Adriance of Albany, NY; and two brothers, William Bremigen of Albany, NY, and Lloyd Bremigen of Jersey Shore.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Helen Czub; and two brothers, Leroy and Daniel Bremigen; and a son-in-law, F. William Shimko.

Graveside services will be held at the Jersey Shore Cemetery on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at 1:30 PM with Rev. Larry Hill, son-in-law, officiating.

A memorial service will be held in at Glad Tidings Assembly of God, Clearfield on Friday, May 4, 2018 at 11 AM.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Penn Highlands Clearfield Hospice, PO Box 992, Clearfield, PA 16830.
