Gloria A. Young, 84, of Clearfield died on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at the Penn Highlands Clearfield

She was born on August 11, 1934 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late Dominic and Theresa (Allessanoro) DeCasper.

Gloria spent a lot of her time volunteering at St. Francis Church and St. Francis School. She also enjoyed collecting angels. Most of all, she enjoyed taking care of and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Yvonne Wink and husband Ken of Curwensville; three sons, Carl Young and wife Marsha of Clearfield, Ed Young of Suffolk, VA, and Dave Young of Rocky Mount, VA; seven grandchildren, Jason Wink, Kevin Wink, Brandy Wink, Ryan Young, Morgan Young, Mackenzie Young and Edan Young; three great-grandchildren, Emily Wink, Wyatt Wink, Hadley Wink; three brothers Samuel DeCasper and wife Sandy of Georgia, Joseph DeCasper and wife Judy of Clearfield, and Anthony DeCasper and wife Shari; and two sisters, Rita Maines of Clearfield, and Virginia Taylor and husband Jack.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Young on November 22, 1976. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Lucy Kelly.

Mass of Christian burial will be said at the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield on Saturday December 29 at 10:00 am with Father Brandon Kleckner as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, .
Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Friday, December 28, 2018, from 4-7 PM and on Saturday, December 29, 2018 from 9-9:30 AM.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to St. Francis Catholic Church, 212 S. Front Street, Clearfield.
