Frederick C. Irwin, 85, of Curwensville passed away at his home to be with his Lord and Saviour on Monday, March 11, 2019.

He was born on November 17, 1933 in Curwensville, a son of the late Daniel C. and Jean (Shively) Irwin.

Fred enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as spending time with his family. He was a veteran and served in the United States Army and attended Cherry Corner Bible Church.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley (Bensor) Irwin; a daughter, Cynthia (Irwin) Hoyle; three sons, Fred, David, and Brian Irwin; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; a brother, Ralph Irwin; a sister, Esther Lippert; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by and infant daughter; a sister, Beverly Kruies; and a brother, Jess Irwin.

There will be no public visitation. A service will be held at the cemetery with Pastor George Solley officiating.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Cherry Corner Bible Church, 155 Nellie's Road, Grampian, PA, 16838.
