Agatha E. Viard, 91

of Clearfield died on Friday, December 26, 2008 at Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield.

She was born on November 29, 1917 in Keewaydin, a daughter of the late Nester and Clara (Valimont) Plubell.

Mrs. Viard was a homemaker. She also was employed by the former Clear Haven Nursing Center, now the Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Frenchville

She is survived by six children, Carolyn Royer and husband Henry of Frenchville, Charles G. Viard and wife Josephine of Curwensville, Carol Jo Krolick and husband Thomas of Clearfield, Montrue Fletcher of Mechanicsburg, Lee A. Viard of Williamsport, Linda Dalton and husband Cortland of Mechanicsburg,

12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren,

three sisters, Christine Turnburger of Florida, Barbara Mencer of Nebraska and Ada Westerfield of New Jersey.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. 'Pete' Viard on May 22, 1987 and whom she married June 19, 1937, a grandson Ricky A. Viard, five sisters and four brothers, Grace Bergey, Leona Guenot, Emma Hoover, Margaret Folmar, Verna Bunce, , Irvin, Nathan, Warren and Donald Plubell.

Mass of Christian burial will be said at the St. Mary Catholic Church, Frenchville on Tuesday at
11:00 A.M. with Rev. Samuel G. Bungo as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Saint Mary Catholic Cemetery, Frenchville.

Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Monday from
2-4 & 6-8 P.M. and on Tuesday from 9-10 A.M.

A Christian Vigil Service will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 5:45 P.M.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to St. Mary Catholic Church, PO Box 159, Frenchville or to the charity of one's choice,
