Agnes M. Valimont, 90, of Clearfield died on Thursday, July 20, 2006 at Clearfield Hospital.
She was born on April 18, 1916 in Drifting, a daughter of the late Oliver and Fannie (Coudriet) Folmar.
Mrs. Valimont was employed by The Progress and was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield.
She is survived by a son and five daughters, Gerald Valimont of Clearfield, Kathryn Norris and husband Reuben of Clearfield, Marge McCloskey and husband Ronald of Frenchville, Mildred Maines and husband Jerry of Clearfield, Rosemary Robison and companion Andrew Wilsoncroft of Clearfield, and Jane Dusch of York; 20 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; a brother, George Lloyd Folmar of Williamsport and two step sisters, Martha Coon of North East and Florence Arrant of Elm Grove, Louisiana.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her adoptive parents, Amiel and Orie Royer, her husband, Clyde P. Valimont on August 4, 1960 and whom she married May 15, 1940 in Frenchville. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Mabel Osborne, Margaret Rougeux and Catherine Folmar
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Tuesday at 10:00 A.M. with Msgr. H. Desmond McGee, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Saint Mary Catholic Cemetery, Frenchville.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 2-4 & 6-9 PM and on Tuesday from 9-10:00 AM.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to charity of one's choice.
