Albert A. "Scoop" Fiasco, 82
of Curwensville died on Saturday, September 6, 2003 at Clearfield Hospital.
He was born on November 24, 1920 in McCartney, PA, a son of the late Anthony and Bessie (Howe) Fiasco Hamilton and stepson of the late Joseph Hamilton.
Mr. Fiasco retired from Target Sportswear in 1986.
As a young man he belonged to the Civilian Conservation Corps and also served with the US Army during WW II having attained the rank of Technician 4th Grade. While in the service, he was awarded the Meritorious Unit Award, the Victory Medal of WW II, the American Theatre Ribbon and the Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon with 2 Bronze Stars. He also received the Philippine Liberation Ribbon with 1 Bronze Star and the Good Conduct Medal.
He formerly was a member of the Robert Ferguson Post #842 Veterans of Foreign Wars, Curwensville.
He is survived by his wife, Genevieve 'Peep' (Witherite) Fiasco, whom he married May 1, 1948 in the Baptist Parsonage in Ansonville by Rev. Amos Harnish.

In addition to his parents and stepfather, he was preceded in death by a grandson Matthew Peters, two brothers George and Mirrell Fiasco and a sister Audrey Kline.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Curwensville on Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Scott Schultz officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Curwensville.
Military honors will be accorded at the cemetery by the members of the Clearfield American Legion and VFW Posts.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM and on Wednesday from
10-11 AM
