Albert Rowles

Albert G. Rowles, 77, of Shiloh died on Friday, August 5, 2005 at the home of his daughter, Jodi Schell of Clearfield.

He was born on April 23, 1928 in Faunce, a son of the late Perry A. and Etta (Cline) Rowles.

Mr. Rowles retried from Kurtz Bros. after 38 years of service. He was a member of the Hyde Wesleyan Church and a volunteer with the Red Cross. He donated a total of 295 units of blood and platelets with 215 units of platelets donated in Johnstown. He served with the US Navy during WW II and was a plank owner of the USS Philippine Sea (CV-47).

He is survived by four children, Pamela G. Rhoads and husband Richard of Jacksonville, NC, Shireen ' Sherry' Carosiello and husband Joseph of Coatesville, Perry A. Rowles, Sr. and wife Sue of Clearfield and Jodi L. Schell and husband James of Clearfield, 15 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and by Dennis Gill and his wife Gloria of Clearfield who was considered part of the family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Donna A. (Tibbens) Rowles on May 29, 1996 and whom he married June 25, 1948 in Christ United Methodist Church, Clearfield, a great grandson, Shawn and three brothers, Marvin, Darrell and Donnie Rowles.

Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Robert Croft officiating. Interment will follow in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.

Military honors will be accorded at the cemetery by the members of the Clearfield American Legion Post 6 and the VFW Post #1785 Honor Guard.

Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Monday from 2-4 & 6-9 PM and on Tuesday from 10-11:00 AM.

The family suggests that memorial contributions b made to the Hyde Wesleyan Church, PO Box 264, Hyde.
