Alice Williams

Alice ‘Jean’ (Welker) Williams, 91, of Woodland died on Thursday, April 8, 2010 at Clearfield Hospital.

She was born on February 26, 1919 in Woodland, a daughter of the late Raymond and Sara (Peters) Mulhollan.

Mrs. Williams was employed at various grocery stores as a clerk for several years.

She was a member of the Shiloh United Methodist Church.

She is survived by two sons, James B. Welker and wife Joyce Bernice of Woodland and Ernest Welker and wife Mona of Woodland; four step children, Cathy Conklin of Clearfield, Robert Williams and wife Rebecca of Greensburg, Steven Williams and wife Sandy of West Decatur and Donald Williams and wife Norma of Olanta; and 17 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Blair Welker in 1964 and whom she married in 1939, her second husband, Glenn Williams in 2005 and whom she married in 1979, a daughter Cheryl Maines, a great-grandson, and a brother and two sisters Russell Mulhollan, Clair Mullen and Bernice Cowder.

Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Tuesday at 11 AM with Rev. Charles Frank officiating. Interment will follow in the Shiloh Cemetery, Woodland.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 6-8 PM and on Tuesday from 10-11 AM.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Shiloh United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 46, Bigler, PA 16825.
