Angeline Sturniolo

Angeline M. Sturniolo, 92 of Clearfield died on Monday, November 17, 2008 at Ridgeview Elder Care Rehabilitation Center in Curwensville.

She was born on February 11, 1916 in Girard, OH, a daughter of the late Joseph and Madeline (Ettaro) Mitchell.

Mrs. Sturniolo was a homemaker.
She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield and the Martha Washington Lodge #1525, Order Sons of Italy Lodge, Clearfield.

She is survived by four children,
Frank Sturniolo of Waukegan, IL
Thomas Sturniolo and wife Diane of State College
Pamela Flanagan and husband Dennis of Clearfield
Mary Rose DiVito and husband Domenick of State College

five grandchildren,
Diane Heaven and husband Andrew of Grayslake, IL
Daniel Sturnioli and wife Christine of Grayslake, IL
Christina DiVito of Tokyo, Japan
John DiVito and wife Catherine of Little Rock, AR
Shannon Brady and husband Edd of Clearfield

five great grandchildren,
Justin Sposito, Alyssalyn Yielding, Andrew Ponsi, Max Sturniolo and Margot Sturniolo, all of Grayslake, IL.

two sisters,
Carmella Carfley of Curwensville
Mary Biviano of Warren, OH

and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Louis F. Sturniolo on October 8, 1998 and whom she married December 26, 1935 in Buffalo, NY; a sister, Genevieve Sorbera and four brothers, Anthony, Frank, John and Samuel Mitchell.

Mass of Christian Burial will be said at St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. with Msgr. H. Desmond McGee, Jr. as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.

Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Wednesday from
4-8 p.m. and on Thursday from 1-1:30 p.m.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to St. Francis Endowment Fund, 212 S. Front Street, Clearfield or to the Ridgeview Elder Care Rehabilitation Center, 30 4th Avenue, Curwensville.
