Angeline J. (Oreka) Toto, 94, of Clearfield went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation, Clearfield.
She was born on July 1, 1929 in Weedville, a daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Palumbo) Oreka.
Mrs. Toto was employed at Kent Sportswear in Curwensville for 28 years, retiring in 1991. She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and was a member of the Rosary and Altar Society. She was also a member of the Sons of Italy Lodge and the Catholic Daughters of America.
She is survived by four children, Samuel Toto and wife Margaret of Clearfield, Carmella Taylor and husband Timothy of Clearfield, Christine Gardner and husband Richard of Clearfield, and Cynthia Romansky and late husband Robert of Montana; twelve grandchildren, Stephen Toto, Michelle Toto, Robert Taylor, Corey Taylor, Timothy Taylor, Jessica Steele, Charles Gardner Sr., Ruth Ann Romansky, John Romansky, Joel Romansky, Grace Sharp, and Elijah Romansky; seven great grandchildren; a sister, Rose Mazza of New Jersey; a brother, Dominic Oreka and wife Rose of South Carolina; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Santo R. Toto on April 2, 2017 and whom she wed September 15, 1951 in Weedville. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Anthony and Joseph Oreka.
Mass of Christian burial will be said at the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield on Wednesday at 11 AM with Fr. Steven Collins as celebrant. Those that are planning on coming to the mass on Wednesday, please meet at the church. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.
Friends will be received at the Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Clearfield on Tuesday from 4 PM - 7 PM.
The rosary will be recited at the funeral home on Tuesday at 3:30 PM.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Saint Francis Educational Endowment Fund.
