Anna Bietz

Anna M. Bietz, 81, of Curwensville died on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at the Ridgeview Elder Care and Rehabilitation Center, Curwensville.

She was born on August 23, 1931 in Pike Township, a daughter of the late George and Alice (Wise) Wink.

Mrs. Bietz was employed as a receptionist for Dr. Clark E. Rich for 32 years, retiring in 1993.
She was a member of Curwensville Presbyterian Church where she served as a deacon. She was also a member of the American Legion John Lewis Shade Post #6 Ladies Auxiliary, Clearfield and the Disabled American Veterans Post #65 Ladies Auxiliary, DuBois. In addition, Mrs. Bietz was a past member of the Grampian Women's Club and the Curwensville Business and Professional Women's Club.

She is survived by her son Roger Bietz and wife Janet of Curwensville; three granddaughters Camille Luzier and husband Tim of Clearfield, Melanie Dotts and husband Nathan of Glen Hope and Jennifer Vingless and husband Jason of Houtzdale; five great grandchildren Aubrey and Jaron Dotts and Kendyhl, Dalton and Brakstyn Luzier; and four sisters, Avenell Bloom and husband Ed of Clearfield, Elsie Bloom of Glen Richey, Shirley Hamer and husband Ashley of York and Norma Wink of Curwensville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herrald L. 'Buck' Bietz on July 3, 2006 and whom she wed December 8, 1951 in Curwensville.

A memorial service will be held at the Curwensville Presbyterian Church on Saturday at 1 PM with Rev. Charles Taber officiating. Interment will be in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.

Friends will be received at the church on Saturday from 12-1 PM.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Curwensville Presbyterian Church, 430 Locust Street, Curwensville, the American Cancer Society, 26 S. Second Street, Clearfield or to the charity of donor's choice.
