Anna M. Evanko, 90
of 222 Leavy Ave., Clearfield died on Friday, January 31, 2003 at her residence.
She was born on February 21, 1912 in Acosta, PA, a daughter of the late Andrew and Rose (Czmalias) Yatta.
Mrs. Evanko was formerly employed as a Clearfield Textile Mill worker and later retired from Clearfield Hospital.
She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield, the Rosary and Altar Society of the church and a member of the Jednota Slovak Lodge.
She is survived by four children,

Rosemarie Collins and husband Daniel Clearfield
Julia 'Judy' Sass and husband Robert Drums
7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren
a sister,
Julia French Shenandoah Junction, WV
and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John M. Evanko on December 6, 1963 and whom she married June 16, 1934 in Winburne. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Walter, Lawrence, Julius, Felix and Francis Yatta and sisters Mary Yatta, Stella Shugarts and Josephine Shugarts.
Mass of Christian Burial will be said at St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield on Tuesday at 10:00 A.M. with Msgr. H. Desmond McGee, Jr. as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.
Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Monday from 4-8:00 PM and on Tuesday from 9-9:30 AM.
At the funeral home on Monday, the rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM and a Christian Vigil Service will be held at 7:45 PM.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Saint Francis Educational Endowment Fund, 212 South Front Street, Clearfield or Meals on Wheels, Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging, 103 N. Front Street, Clearfield.
