Anna Sturniolo, 93
of Clearfield died on Tuesday, December 10, 2002 at Christ the King Manor in DuBois.
She was born on July 13, 1909 in Curwensville, PA, a daughter of the late John and Rose (Pecorale) Catino.
Mrs. Sturniolo was a homemaker and was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, the Rosary and Altar Society of the Church and the Catholic Daughters of America.
She is survived by four children,
Joseph G. Sturniolo and wife Lil Dallas, TX
John C. Sturniolo and wife June State College
Rosemary Ickes and husband Thomas Clearfield
Joanne S. Geppert and husband Michael Harrisburg
10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren
brother,
George Catino Harrisburg
and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carmen Sturniolo on December 29, 1981 and whom she married October 4, 1928 in St. Timothy Church, Curwensville. Also by three brothers Sam Catino, Joseph Catino, and Reillo Catino.
Mass of Christian Burial will be said at St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield on Friday at 10:00 A.M. with Msgr. H. Desmond McGee, Jr. as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.
Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Thursday from
4 8:00 PM and on Friday from 9 9:30 AM.
At the funeral home on Thursday, a Christian Vigil Service will be said at 3:45 PM, the rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM followed by a memorial service by the members of the Catholic Daughters of America.
