Anna M. Turner, 96, of Pittsburgh passed away on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at the Presbyterian SeniorCare Westminster Place, in Oakmont, PA.
She was born on April 22, 1925 in Madera, a daughter of the late Henry and Tressa (Lockett) Kunsman.
Mrs. Turner retired from Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield, as a nursing assistant after 20 years of service. She had a “green thumb” and loved her garden and the outdoors. She was fiercely independent throughout her life. In her later years, she traveled to many places including Alaska, Florida, Hawaii, and Mexico.
She is survived by her daughter, Gail Turner and husband Raymond Probst of Pittsburgh; a son, Gary L. Turner of Scranton; two sisters, Shirley Millard of Madera and Virginia Pollick of Columbus, IN; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lee E. Turner on November 21, 1981, and whom she wed November 2, 1946 in Glen Hope. She was also preceded in death by son, Eugene L. Turner; and two brothers, Max Kunsman and Ray Kunsman.
Funeral services will be held at the Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Clearfield, on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at 11:00 AM. Private interment will follow in the Styers Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:00 - 7:00 PM and Thursday, 10:00 - 11:00 AM, followed by a service at 11:00 AM.
