Antoinette 'Toni' Castagnolo, 65 of Arlington, VA died on Monday, November 9, 2009 at her family home in Clearfield.

She was born on August 21, 1944 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (DiSalvo) Castagnolo.

Toni was a 1962 graduate of St. Francis High School, a 1964 graduate of Misericordia Hospital School of X-Ray Technology in Philadelphia, PA and a 1983 Graduate of George Washington University with a BS in Radiologic Science and Administration.

She was registered in radiation therapy, nuclear medicine and radiography. Throughout her career, she was employed with The Arthritis Clinic of Northern Virginia, Reston Hospital Center, Osteoporosis Assessment Center, National Navy Medical Center, The George Washington University Medical Center and University of Virginia.

Toni was an active volunteer at Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts and served many roles in the Ski Club of Washington, DC. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Community in Alexandria, VA.

She enjoyed playing tennis, skiing and world travel and being with family and friends.

She is survived by two sisters and a brother, Susan Roessner and husband Frank of Binghamton, NY, Joseph Castagnolo and wife Laurie of Clearfield, Caroline Castagnolo of Delray Beach, FL, a brother-in-law, James McMasters of Clearfield, and many aunts, uncles and cousins and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Rosemary McMasters.

Mass of Christian Burial will be said at St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield on Friday at 10:00 A.M. with Father John Chaplin as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.

Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Thursday from 4-8:00 PM and on Friday from 9-9:30 AM.

A Christian Vigil Service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 3:45 PM.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to St. Francis School Library, 230 S. Second Street, Clearfield or Clearfield Foundation for Health – Hospice, PO Box 992, Clearfield.
