Arbutus H. Irwin , 93, of Curwensville died on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at the OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, OH.
She was born on March 23, 1928 in Beaverdale, a daughter of the late Victor and Hannah (Smith) Bensor.
Mrs. Irwin was employed at Kent's Sportswear, Curwensville for over 29 years.
She was a member of Cherry Corner Bible Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Evans and husband Lonnie of Sunbury, OH; a son, Robert Ressler and wife Linda of Clearfield; four grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; one great great granddaugher; three sisters, Shirley Irwin of Curwensville, Marjory Tiller of Vicksburg, MI, and Hannah Barrett of Curwensville; a brother, William Bensor and wife Norma of Clearfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph E. Irwin on October 22, 2019 and whom she wed March 7, 1968. She was also preceded in death by four sisters, Venna Sape, Marie Thomas, Martha Solley, and Sibbie Bloom; and two brothers, Robert Bensor and George Bensor.
A graveside service will be held at the Friends Cemetery, Grampian at a later date with Pastor George Solley officiating.
Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Curwensville is in charge of the arrangements.
