OBITUARY
B. Richard "Dick" Marlette, 72
of 620 Elm Avenue, Clearfield died on Friday, April 19, 2002 at James E. Van Zandt VA Medical Center in Altoona.
He was born on February 8, 1930 in Carrollton, KY, a son of the late Planet and Millie Marlette.
Mr. Marlette retired as a Master Sergeant from the U.S. Army after 22 years of service, having served during the Korean Conflict and the Viet Nam era.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ, Latter Day Saints, the F. Michael Sicks Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #1785 of Clearfield, the Clearfield American Legion John Lewis Shade Post #6 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie #812.
He is survived by his wife, Emma M. (Peoples) Marlette of Clearfield
four children,
Wayne, Lois, Guy and Marjorie all of NY
three step-daughters,
Carolyn Puccio, CA
Judith Jordan Curwensville
Susan Puccio Clearfield
three sisters and three brothers,
Jean, Wanda, Betty Sue, Joe, Don and Bob
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family and interment will be in the Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA.
The Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield is in charge of the arrangements.
