Barbara P. Irwin, 78, of Clearfield died on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at her residence.
She was born on September 13, 1931 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late Reed M. 'Pete' Price, Jr. and Dorothy I. (Shifter) Price.
Mrs. Irwin was employed in the office for the former Harbison Walker Refractories for 15 years and also had worked for Commercial Printing. She was a member of the West Side United Methodist Church, Clearfield.
She was a devoted wife, mother and grammy.
She is survived by her husband, Paul B. Irwin, whom she wed June 25, 1955 in Clearfield; a daughter, Suzanne E. Irwin of State College; two granddaughters, Haley and Olivia Zellner; and two sisters, Elizabeth Ann Rhine of Clearfield and Pauline Marie Bergey of Apollo.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Thursday at
11:00 A.M. with Rev. Rodger J. Gorton officiating. Interment will follow in the Stoneville Cemetery, Clearfield.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6-8:00 PM and on Thursday from
10-11:00 AM.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Children's Aid Society, 1008 S. Second Street, Clearfield.
