Beatrice H. "Betty" Cuetara, 83
of 1010 Country Club Road, Clearfield died after a long and extended illness on Sunday, April 17, 2005 at her residence.
She was born on August 16, 1921 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late Hobart and Vida (Fox)Hallman.
Mrs. Cuetara was formerly Employed with Bell Telephone Co.
She graduated from Clearfield High School in 1939 and recently attended her 65 year class reunion.
She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield and the O'Shanter United Methodist Church.
She also belonged to the Rosary and Altar Society of the St. Francis Church, the Clearfield Business and Professional Womens Club, the Coterie Club, the Clearfield Women's Club and the N.O.N. Club.
Mrs. Cuetara enjoyed golfing, painting, reading and gardening.
In addition, she served with the US Navy Waves during World War II.
She is survived by a son, David Charles Cuetara of Bonita Springs, FL, a grandson, Kelly David Lawhead of Salisbury, MD, a sister-in-law, Kathleen G. Cuetara of Clearfield and her caregivers and living companion for the last sixteen years, Tammy Fenush White and Bill White.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Joseph Cuetara on March 19, 1987 and whom she married in November of 1943 and a sister Jean Lee Hallman Gavin.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Michael Hill and Msgr. H. Desmond McGee, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM and on Wednesday from 10 - 11:00 AM.
