Betty Lea Blake, 75, of Clearfield died on Friday, May 6, 2011 at the Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield.

She was born on March 25, 1936 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late Jury and Margaret (Miller) Bell.

Mrs. Blake retired in 2006 from DuPont Electronics as an inspector after 30 years of service. After her retirement, she was employed as a secretary at Key Largo Restaurant, Morrisdale.
She attended Congress Hill United Methodist Church. Mrs. Blake was a member of the Red Hat Society at the Henry E. Meyers Towers, Clearfield where she served as the secretary and treasurer. She also was involved with all of the various crafting activities, bible studies and numerous other committees at the Towers.

She is survived by two children, Peter G. Blake, Jr. and wife Carolyn of Woodland and Mona L. Plubell of Manheim; two grandchildren, Chelsea Blake of Hummelstown and Stephen Plubell of Manheim; three great grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters, William Bell and wife Judy of LeContes Mills, Thomas Bell and wife Dorothy of LeContes Mills, Maxine Rougeux of Clearfield and Janice Bell of Clearfield; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son Kent E. Blake, a brother Kenneth Fay Bell and a sister Rita Mae Bell.

Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Monday at 11 A.M. with Rev. Kenneth J. Leonard officiating. Interment will follow in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 10-11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, 113 North Third Street, Clearfield.
