Betty G. (Maines) Burnett, 78, of Clearfield died on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at her home.
She was born on October 8, 1944 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late H. Earl and Ethel E. (Hudson) Maines.
She celebrated forty-three years of sobriety with the help and support of the AA Recovery Program. She was passionate about service and volunteered her time at the Clearfield County Jail, the Quehanna Boot Camp, and the American Red Cross, where she was sent on multiple national disaster relief efforts. Betty loved to travel and was almost always on the go, she accomplished seeing all fifty states as well as several countries.
She is survived by her children, Beverly Fleck (John) of Clearfield, William M. Burnett of Grampian and Yvonne Burnett of DuBois; three grandchildren, Matthew Burnett (Alaina) of Elizabeth, PA, Aaron Fleck (Tory) of Armagh, Pa, and Nicollette Good (Corey) of Dubois; two great grandchildren, Gavin Good and future grandchild Good; a sister, Rita Hall of South Jordan, Utah and three brothers, Lynn Maines, of Central Square, New York, Leland Maines (Judy) of DuBois, Kenneth Maines (Helen) of Clearfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the father of her children, William J.(Lefty) Burnett; her three brothers, Ronald Maines, Keith Maines, and William (Larry) Maines; and a granddaughter, Amber Burnett.
Funeral services will be held at the St. John Lutheran Church, Clearfield on Monday, December 5, 2022 at 11 AM with Rev. Robert J. Way officiating. Interment will follow in the Thompson Cemetery, Glen Richey.
Friends will be received at the Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Clearfield on Sunday, December 4, 2022 from 2 - 5 PM and Monday from 10 - 11 AM at the church.
