Betty L. Cochran, 81 of Clearfield died on Monday, January 26, 2009 at Ridgeview Elder Care Rehabilitation Center in Curwensville.
She was born on July 29, 1927 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late Clifford Frank and Vera (McMasters) Simcox.
Mrs. Cochran was a homemaker.
She is survived by four children,
Richard L. 'Dick' Cochran and wife Barbara Ann of Clearfield
Barbara L. Zemrose and husband Louis of Madera
Ruth Stricek and husband David of Curwensville
Debra L. Turner and husband Timothy of Woodland
five grandchildren,
Betty Jean Weaver and husband Mark
Christine Beish
Devin Stricek and wife Amber
Kristen Harris
Brandon Harris
and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert L. 'Dick' Cochran on June 29, 2001 and whom she married July 26, 1946 in Clearfield, a grandson, Stephen Livergood, Jr. and a brother Torrence Clifford Simcox.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Wednesday at
2:00 P.M. with Pastor Christine Freeman-Frank officiating. Interment will follow in the Bradford Cemetery, Woodland.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from Noon - 2:00 PM.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Clearfield Foundation for Health – Hospice, PO Box 992, Clearfield or to the charity of one's choice.
