Betty Neamy

Betty Jean Neamy, 78

of 310 Weaver Street, Clearfield died on Sunday, August 11, 2002 at her residence.

She was born on June 10, 1924 in Berwinsdale, PA, a daughter of the late William Henry and Emma (Ecklund) Herrala.

Mrs. Neamy was employed with the Clearfield Chamber of Commerce for over 20 years, retiring in 1987.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday school and belonged to the Altar Guild. She was the scheduling chairperson for the chaplains at the Clearfield Hospital, was a volunteer for the American Red Cross Blood Mobile and was a member of the United Commercial Travelers Philipsburg Council #621.

On January 26, 1946 in the Faith United Lutheran Church, Houtzdale she was married to Herman J. Neamy by Pastor Carl E. Lundgren.

In addition to her husband she is survived by two daughters,

Emmylu Accordino and husband Dennis all of Clearfield

three grandchildren,
Denise Klunder and husband Cameron Yorktown, VA
Heidi Puzzuto and husband Andy Clearfield
Drew Herman Philip Accordino Clearfield
three great-grandchildren,
Jacob Puzzuto Clearfield
Olivia Nash
Madison Nash both of Yorktown, VA

two sisters,
Helen Peterson Irvona
Ellen Palmgren Milesburg

several cousins, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers Robert and Elmer Miller.

Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Wednesday at 11:00AM with Rev. Thomas E. Darr officiating. Interment will follow in the Fruit Hill Cemetery, Ansonville RD.

Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Tuesday from 7-9:00 PM and on Wednesday from 10-11:00 AM

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to St. John's Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 217 E. Pine Street, Clearfield or to Clearfield Foundation for Health - Hospice, PO Box 992, Clearfield
