Betty Kathryn Thomas , 75, of Brackenridge, formerly of Clearfield, died on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at her home.
She was born on January 1, 1937 in Curwensville, a daughter of the late Irwin and Margaret (Sipes) Rauch.
Mrs. Thomas retired after 40 years of employment from Target Sportswear as a secretary in the shipping department. She will be remembered for loving her family and felt it a privilege raising her daughters.
She is survived by five daughters, Vickie Billotte of Brackenridge, Denise Fry and husband David of Clearfield, Lisa Robbins and husband Phil of Clearfield, Mary Ellen Lippert of Pawleys Island, SC and Valerie Shaffer and husband Steve of State College; twelve grandchildren, Kylee, Leland, Valerie, Christine, Kathy, Stacy, Heather, Erika, Donald, Corrinne, Grant and Gavin; eleven great grandchildren; and a sister Rose Mary Swatsworth and husband Robert Swatsworth of Grampian.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy Wayne Thomas on May 21, 2010 and whom she wed July 5, 1958 at the Trinity United Methodist Church, Clearfield. She was also preceded in death by four brothers Richard, Thomas, James and William Rauch.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Saturday at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in the Bradford Cemetery, Woodland.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm and on Saturday from 10-11 am.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Butler VNA, 160 Hindman Road, Butler, PA 16001.
