Beverly Leah Hurley, 90, of Hyde died on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at the DuBois Nursing Home.
She was born on June 12, 1933 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late James and Elva D. (Hull) Aveni.
Mrs. Hurley was a graduated of Clearfield High School where she was a cheerleader through her junior high and senior high years. She then worked at Harbison Walker Refractories until she and her husband started a family. Mrs. Hurley stayed at home raising her children for several years before going back to work at Kurtz Brothers and then retiring from J.C. Penney's. In her free time, she enjoyed sewing, quilting, and watching the Pittsburgh Pirates.
She is survived by six children, Lynn Brennan and husband Michael of Ames, IA, Jennifer Moore of Clearfield, Suzanne 'Suzie' Pase and husband John of Mineral Springs, Patricia 'Patti' Karchner and husband Michael of Woodland, Randy Hurley and wife Donna of Clearfield, and Russell 'Rusty' Hurley, Jr. of Clearfield; fourteen grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Hurley on July 21, 2022. She was also preceded in death by son-in-law, John Moore; and a grandson, Bradley Boalich Jr.
Visitation will be held for both Beverly and her late husband, Russell, at Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Clearfield on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 from 1:30 - 3:30 PM. Interment will be in the Stoneville Cemetery.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Joseph and Elizabeth Shaw Public Library, 1 S. Front Street, Clearfield, PA 16830
