Byron Leon Graham, Sr., 74, of Clearfield died on Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at DuBois Regional Medical Center - West.
He was born on March 17, 1936 in Clearfield, a son of the late Clark E. and Nellie A. (Fauver) Graham.
Mr. Graham retired as a custodian from the Clearfield Area School District after 36 years of employment.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era.
He is survived by five children, Byron L. "Jake" Graham, Jr. of Clearfield, Cindy C. Graham of Clearfield, Fred A. Graham of Clearfield, Patricia A. "Trish" Holt and husband, Chris, of Lancaster County and Michael J. Graham and wife, Cindy, of Winchester, VA; three grandchildren, Harley Daniels, Robert Butler, Jr. and Elliott Legg; three brothers and a sister, Russell Graham of Woodland, Harold Graham and wife, Donna, of Woodland, David Graham of Madera and Donna Jean Commino of Eldred; a life-long companion, Louise Murray of Clearfield; and numerous nieces and nephews
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Saturday at
11:00 AM with Rev. Kenneth J. Leonard officiating.
Interment will follow in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.
Military honors will be accorded at the cemetery by the members of the Clearfield VFW and American Legion Posts Honor Guard.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and on Saturday from 10-11 a.m.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Society, 26 S. Second Street, Clearfield, PA 16830; or the American Heart Association, 501 Howard Avenue, Building D, Suite 101, Altoona PA 16601.
