Calvin E. Hanson, 81, of DuBois died on Tuesday, March 7, 2006 at Christ the King Manor, DuBois.
He was born on December 17, 1924 in Lanse, a son of the late Harry and Margaret V. (Graham) Hanson.
Mr. Hanson owned Calvin E. Hanson School Buses. In addition he was employed as a truck driver, retiring in 1987.
He was a member of the Community Alliance Church, Karthaus and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth E. (Graham) Hanson, whom he married March 19, 1977 in Shawville; seven children, John Hanson of Hyde, Keith Dusch and wife Robin of Curwensville, Michael Dusch and wife Dawn of Falls Creek, David Hanson of DuBois, Shirley Ann of Clearfield, Gail Marie Kasten and husband Troy of TN, Rebecca Symes and husband Ken of Ontario, Canada; 6 grandchildren; and a foster sister, Catherine Maines.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Lash and an infant sister, Rachel Hanson.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Friday at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Hiram B. Westover officiating. Interment will follow in the Gillingham Cemetery, Frenchville.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 7-9:00 PM and on Friday from noon -1:00 PM.
