Calvin Wallace

Calvin D. Wallace, 94, of Woodland died on Sunday, December 2, 2018 at the Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield.

He was born on May 12, 1924 in Woodland, a son of the late Clyde and Abby (Maines) Wallace.

Mr. Wallace was a coal miner for many businesses in the area. While growing up, he had also helped on his family's large farm.

He was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church

Mr.Wallace served with the U. S. Navy during World War II.

He is survived by his four children, Dannie D. Wallace and wife Leatrice of Woodland, Susan Rose of Woodland, Calvin E. Wallace and wife Rebecca of Frenchville, and Larry C. Wallace of Woodland. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and many great great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Imogene E. (Lanich) Wallace on March 28, 1987. He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Dorothy, Jessie, and Amanda.

Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Thursday at 11 AM with Pastor W. Lee Casher officiating. Interment will follow in the Shiloh Cemetery.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM, and on Thursday from 10-11 AM.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the donor's choice.
