Carl States

Carl L. States, 76, of Clearfield, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at Penn Highlands Clearfield.

He was born on November 13, 1945 in Punxsutawney, a son of the late Carl and Kathryne (Sutter) States.

Carl was a graduate of Indiana University of PA and was a US Army veteran, serving as a Military Policeman form 1966-1968.

He was employed at Clearfield Alliance Christian School for 31 years, both as a teacher and in Administration.

He was a member of the Clearfield Alliance Church, where he served as an Elder, Sunday School Teacher and Governing Board Secretary.

Carl is survived by a brother, George States of FL; and a sister, Dorothy States of Chambersburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Glenn, Jerry and Bernard; and sisters, Mildred and Imogene.

Carl was a kind and gentle individual who loved the Lord and served him faithfully. He enjoyed reading, gardening and spending time outdoors.

Funeral services will be held at the Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Clearfield on Monday at 2 PM with Dr. Duane A. White and Rev. Robert B. Goldenberg officiating. Interment will be in the Lake Lawn Memorial Park, Luthersburg.

Military honors will be accorded at funeral home.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday 12 PM- 2 PM.
