Carl Undercofler

Carl Undercofler, 83, of Woodland died on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at the Bucktail Medical Center, Renovo.
He was born on February 9, 1938 in Woodland, a son of the late Albert 'Clay' and Anna (Peters) Undercofler.
Carl retired from Penelec from substation maintenance in the early 90's.
He was a member of Lake Street United Methodist Church, Woodland.
Carl loved to run and ran MANY MANY races as a member of the PA Trail Dogs. He was also a member of the HET Club where he enjoyed restoring classic cars. Carl and his wife, Joyce, volunteered with Nittany Greyhounds and rescued greyhounds for many years. He also helped clean up streams and creeks for the DEP. In his spare time he enjoyed woodworking and hunting.
Carl served with the U. S. Army.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce (Shugarts) Undercofler whom he wed September 7, 1963; three children, Mary Beth Hoover and husband Ron, Scott Undercofler and wife Lisa, and Sue Dudkowski and husband Michael; nine grandchildren, Shelby Hawkins, Sierra Hoover, Nathan Hoover, Jacob Undercofler, Anna Undercofler, Eli Undercofler, Katherine Dudkowski, Abigail Dudkowski,, and Alina Dudkowski; three great-grandchildren, Troy Hoover, Jaxon Hoover, and Rylie Hawkins; a brother, Michael Undercofler and wife Natalie; a sister, Rose Smith and husband Ed; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert Undercofler, Jim Undercofler, and Donald Undercofler; and a sister, Phyllis Rowles.
Funeral services will be held at the Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Clearfield on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at 11 AM with Pastor Gregg Kohlhepp officiating. Interment will follow in the Bradford Cemetery, Woodland.
Military honors will be accorded at the cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-7 PM and Wednesday from 10-11 AM.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Nittany Greyhounds, 30 TLD Circle, Port Matilda, PA 16870.
