Carmela (Pozzi) Krchelich, resident of Graystone Court, went to her heavenly rest surrounded by family on Friday, September 24, 2021.
She was born on September 21, 1923 in Williamsburg, a daughter of the late Antonio and Angela (Virgilio) Pozzi.
Mrs. Krchelich was a homemaker and raised four children. She was the glue that held the family together by hosting family gatherings and cooking traditional Italian meals. She enjoyed spending time with her family and taking care of them.
She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church for many years, St. Francis Rosary and Altar, and volunteered in the St. Francis cafeteria for many years.
She is survived by her son, David Krchelich and companion Mona Sen of Schenevus, NY; two daughters, Barbara Collar and companion Paul Bojalad of Clearfield, and Angela McKnight and husband David of Philipsburg; ten grandchildren, Kelly Esposito, John Krchelich, Mary Easter, Matthew Moore, Andrew Moore, Philip Moore, Jacinta Collar, Danielle Palmer, and Aaron McKnight; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lucia Pozzi.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Krchelich on June 26, 2011 and whom she wed December 27, 1949 in St. Joseph's Church. She was also preceded in death by son, Mark A. Krchelich.
Mass of Christian burial will be said at the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield on Thursday at 10 AM with Rev. Brandon M. Kleckner as celebrant. Interment will follow in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Williamsburg.
