Carrie Demi

Carrie A. Demi, 100, of Clearfield and most recently a resident of Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield died on Friday, July 28, 2006 at Clearfield Hospital.

She was born on December 7, 1905 in Sagamore, PA, a daughter of the late Charles and Cora (Craft) Brady.

Mrs. Demi was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Clearfield and was active for many years in the Lawrence Grange.

She is survived by three sons and a daughter, Lewis E. Demi Jr. and wife Elinor of Clearfield, Gordon Demi and wife June of Clearfield, Drexel Demi and wife Mona of Curwensville, Dolores Ogden of Clearfield; 9 grandchildren, Gordon Learish, Mary Lynne Meckey, Mike Demi, Jerry Demi, Betsy McDermott, LuAnn Demi, Jodi Morelli, Kim Renaud and Chris Demi; 15 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis E. Demi Sr. on June 6, 1978, whom she wed June 16, 1922 in Ashland, Ohio, and one brother and three sisters.

Memorial services will be held at the Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Clearfield on Sunday, August 6, 2006 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Virginia Eminhizer officiating. Interment will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery, RD#3, Clearfield.

Friends will be received at the church from 1-2:00 PM on Sunday.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Spirit Hall, Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 1010 Dorey Street, Clearfield or Clearfield Foundation for Health- Hospice P.O. Box 992, Clearfield.

The Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield is in charge of the arrangements.
