Catherine L. Nagy, 90, of Clearfield died on Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at the Clearfield Colonial Courtyard.
She was born on April 4, 1917 in Baltimore, MD, a daughter of the late William and Alice (Feight) Pounds.
Mrs. Nagy was a homemaker, moving to Clearfield in 1956 from Florida.
She was a member of The Presbyterian Church, Clearfield.
She is survived by two children, Dennis Nagy and wife Gaetana of Fairfax, VA and Margaret 'Margie' Kanski and husband Fred of Clearfield; six grandchildren, Mark Nagy, Kimberly Nagy, Bethany Nagy, Courtney B. Reddington and husband Edward, Matthew Nagy and Lindsey Kanski; five great grandchildren, Edward John 'Teddy' Reddington, II, Robert Robbie Bowman Reddington, Aubrey Collette Nagy, Ashley Nicole Perez and Abigail Renee Perez' two brothers, Paul Pounds and wife Betty of Marion Center and Bobbie Pounds and wife Doris Youngstown, OH; two sisters in law, Margaret Nagy of Indiana and Edna Romeo and husband Roc of Ellicott, MD; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel C. Nagy on January 22, 1991 and whom she married March 21, 1942 in Key West, Florida, a son-in-law, Robert Bowman, brothers, Frank and Billy Pounds, a twin brother Clover Pounds and an infant brother and two sisters, Margie Fairman and Edda Neal.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Saturday at 11:30 A.M. with Rev. Matthew C. Holbert officiating. Interment will follow in the Marion Center Memorial Cemetery, Marion Center.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday from
10:30 11:30 AM.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Clearfield Foundation For Health - Hospice, PO Box 992, Clearfield, PA 16830.
