Cecelia Shaffer, 75 of Clearfield died on Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Presbyterian Hospital.
She was born on July 13, 1932 in Curwensville, a daughter of the late George Sr. and Verna (Sabol) Krupelak.
Mrs. Shaffer was a homemaker, having spent most of her time caring for her home. She was also formerly employed by Kurtz Bros. for several years.
She is survived by two children, Gloria J. Cutler and husband James of Clearfield, and John R. Shaffer of Bucks County, two grandchildren, Tina Timko and husband Tim, and Tim Caldwell and wife Carrie, two great grandchildren, 2 step great grandchildren, two sisters, Mary O'Donnell and husband Joe of West Decatur and Ethel Jury of Clearfield and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray C. Shaffer, on May 11, 2001 and whom she married April 6, 1957 in Clearfield, two sisters Helen Rougeux and Mildred Smith and a brother George Krupelak, Jr.
At the request of Mrs. Shaffer, there will be no public visitation.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield with Monsignor H. Desmond McGee, Jr. officiating. Interment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery, Clearfield.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to charity of one's choice.
